Answering the Question "What is Clean Energy?"

By investing in clean energy we are able to help the environment, the economy, and ourselves. How does investing in clean energy do all of these things? Power that is considered to be “clean” is a growing technology, by purchasing and using clean energy products we are spurring the growth which can create jobs, stimulate economic growth, and cut our own expenses drastically. The government has programs in place that can provide incentives and rebates which can save money when investing in products that take advantage of renewable energy. Cost is becoming a non-issue in terms of people being able to go green as the costs are not much greater than traditional energy sources.

Products available that use renewable resources to be “clean” or “green” are more affordable now than they have ever been. Everyone can take advantage of this by changing all of their lights to CFL bulbs, upgrading HVAC systems to Geothermal units, installing Solar preheating systems, or even installing a wind power system that provides your home with electricity. All of the products mentioned here are relatively easy to find locally or online and the savings that can be had is dramatic.

Wind electricity systems could potentially completely eliminate your electric bills. A geothermal heat pump can drastically reduce or eliminate natural gas bills. The less costly options of changing light bulbs using solar preheating options, and using energy star products to make your home more efficient are all ways to cut your energy use by as much as 50% in some cases. These are considered to be clean energy products because they do not use non renewable resources and they do not contribute to the green house gas and harmful emission problems.

Using the products today that take advantage of renewable resources and clean technologies is something everyone can do. If everyone were to start implementing these things in their homes and businesses we could cut green house gases and harmful air pollution dramatically in route to a healthier and happier planet. Clean energy products are no longer hard to find and expensive to use. These products and technologies are becoming more mainstream everyday and are more affordable than you might think.
