How Popular Blogs Can Bring Traffic to Your Website

Why Blogs Bring More Traffic to my Website

It is no secret that popular blogs get more traffic but, how does that mean popular blogs bring more traffic to my website? A good blog that is getting tons of traffic and a lot of exposure is obviously doing something right. I know everyone focuses on backlinks and social bookmarks to bring more traffic to a website or webpage and that will bring more traffic to your website but after the new wears off it gets buried. The problem with this is you can't repost the same link or article to these backlinks and social bookmark sites. With a blog you can post and comment as much as you want to bring more traffic. Now let me be clear I am not saying to go out and spam every blog you find. This will not get you more traffic to your website, it will get you blacklisted and could cost you your Google account or Hub Pages account. Blogs have become the most popular way to give readers useful and current information on a regular basis and allow them to read at their leisure. WARNING!!!! DO NOT SPAM!! I have been using this method to bring more traffic to my hub pages and have had success with it. That said it has come to my attention that people are abusing this method. One place in particular that I use to promote my pages and bring more traffic to my website has shut down outside posting. This happened because of 2 people posting the same post repeatedly with links to buy something. If you want to bring more traffic to a website, do it tastefully and without spam.

How Do Blogs Bring More Traffic to my Website?

Many of you are thinking, "I don't have a blog and setting one up would take time and it would also take forever to get it ranked well". This is why you will be using other peoples blogs that are ranked well and get exposure already. Again DO NOT SPAM to bring more traffic to your site!! If you have a topic on your pages that is relevant and of interest, other people will be glad to have it on their blog. For example, if you write movie reviews and do a search for movie review blogs you will likely find hundreds or thousands. Find the best or most popular ones and sign up for the blog. Post relevant comments and insert a link to a relevant review you wrote. I only recommend this if your information is unique and truly useful, otherwise the blog owner will likely kick you out quickly. The way I have done this in one instance was signed up for a top ranked blog which obviously gets tons of traffic and front page exposure on search engines for my selected topic. I was able to bring more traffic to my site from this blog because I found a post that was referencing home buyers using certain types of remodeling ideas and methods. Guess what, I just happen to have an article about that very thing. I went into the blog, posted a comment about my opinions and then simply said by the way I have written a detailed article about this if you are interested it is at www.hubpages.com with my article as the web address. I have thus far received over 1000 traffic referral hits from that blog in about ten days.

Blogs Drive Traffic Even if The Links Are NoFollow

With all of the worry about search engine ranks, no follow, do follow, page rank, blah, blah, blah why not find some ways to bring more traffic to my website immediately. I am not saying abandon SEO or not to get back links, I am simply saying use other methods to get the ball rolling and bring more traffic to your site by using quality blogs and blog posts. I have done it and it is working. I also created a blog, and between Hub Pages and my blog I have over 4000 page views in the last 30 days, less than 50% of that is hub traffic, so that means my method to bring traffic to my website is working. According to Analytics my visitors are viewing an average 4 pages per visit and have a time on site of over 10 minutes. I would say for a month of effort this isn't bad. These numbers continue to grow and I have found a great way to bring more traffic to my website or Hub Pages.

Great info Hawww, I love the blog tips! Especially finding blogs relevant to your articles. I didn't know you could place your link with comment on blogs. Also, is it common for most blogs not to get many views? My blogger rarely gets any and well, I have no time to promote it unless I blogged about one of my articles and then maybe I'll put in a little time in order to not continue submitting the same hub links and get spammed. Thanks!

My blogger blog gets maybe 10 - 15 per day mostly from promoting it myself or people who follow me here. As for links in comments, reputable blogs will have no problem adding more value to their posts. If you give something of value and link to more value then they benefit as much as you do. It is a "win win"

Ok, for one example I use some MSN blogs. I go to real estate and home improvement blogs because that is where I have valuable info to give. I leave quality blog posts on those blogs. For instance the other day was a blog post about mortgages for foreclosed homes. Well it just so happens I had an article about 203k mortgages. I post on their blog about 203k mortgage to help finance the home and the repairs it needs.. etc etc Make sure it is quality and then at the end of the post leave the post by saying " I have more information about xyzabc in this article" and put the link

Most blog owners welcome this as long as you have quality relevant information

Comment links are generally poor performers, I would want to solicit a guest post with a prominent link. This will get more traffic and bring SEO benefits.

It's not hard, most of the time it is simple as asking!
