I. Improvements to aid in energy conservation: Installing new energy efficient windows, doors, HVAC, or water heating systems. Many alternative energy products like solar preheating systems qualify.

J. Major site improvements or landscaping: Adding or repairing a patio, deck, proper land grading, correcting drainage problems etc. This can also include seeding a new lawn or installing plants for erosion control.

K. Disabled accessibility Improvements: Adding wheel chair ramps, widening door ways, lowering cabinets as well as adding fixtures and appliances that are designed for handicap accessibility and use.

Great article regarding the FHA 203k loan and using it to also go "Green" is an added bonus when renovating.
