Great Camping Accessories Make Great Camping Trips

First of all many people think a sleeping bag is adequate and they don't need a sleeping bad or bag liners. I would like to say from experience, a good sleeping bad as well as bag liners makes things more comfortable, not to mention warmer. The sleeping pad when used with the bag gives additional padding as well as an added barrier between your body and the cold and often damp, ground. The liner will provide an added layer inside the bag that can be easily removed for cleaning so you don't have to get the inside of your sleeping bag dirty.

Lightweight cooking supplies are other accessories that are great to have. Having a cook stove that uses a lightweight propane or butane fuel can be an easy way to heat a decent meal. Titanium cook stove and titanium pots and utensils are extremely light weight and easy to carry. Having hot meals when camping will benefit your body and you will be able to maintain body temperature and have more stamina if you are eating properly and staying hydrated.

Another thought when planning a trip is to have accessories for emergencies. A lightweight first aid kit, matches, extra batteries for flashlights, and don't forget food. Even if you plan to hunt or fish for the food you will prepare as meals you should plan just in case you don't catch anything or shoot anything. Having enough food to be sure you are safe is an important factor in planning any camping trip.

Having the Proper Camping Accessories is Essential to a Successful Camping Trip

As you can see, there are quite a few things to have for an enjoyable camping or hiking experience and this is why weight plays such an important role in the gear and accessories you need. By finding the lightest possible supplies and a lightweight pack that will hold them all you will find yourself well prepared and not completely worn out by the time you reach your campsite from carrying heavy gear. Following the tips found here and supplying yourself with the appropriate camping supplies and accessories will no doubt give you an experience to remember and have you planning the next trip in no time.

Great hub! We're gearing up for our first camping/fishing trip of the year, so excited. Thanks for the tip about the bag liners, the ground does get awful cold and damp in the spring. Will have to check those out!
